The person behind deadly cleaning

Hi, I’m Rylee — the person behind Deadly Cleaning.

I’m a proud First Nations woman with roots in Cumberland House Cree Nation and Manitoba (Swampy Cree & Anishinaabe), and I’ve called Saskatoon home for over 20 years, on Treaty 6 Territory.

First and foremost, I’m a wife and a mom to two amazing kids. I spent several years at home raising them, which I’m incredibly grateful for. It was busy, exhausting, and meaningful but I eventually found myself craving something that was just mine.

That’s when I started working part-time for a cleaning company. What began as “just a job” quickly turned into something I genuinely loved. Cleaning gave me a sense of calm and accomplishment. I loved caring for people’s homes, respecting their space, and seeing the difference a good clean could make. There’s something grounding about leaving a home feeling better than when you arrived.

Outside of cleaning and family life, I also found comfort and creativity in beading. Late nights while the kids slept turned into years of learning, creating, and reconnecting with my culture. That time played a big role in helping me understand who I am and what I value.

As my kids became more independent, I knew it was time to build something that worked for my life , not against it. After a lot of thinking (and procrastinating), Deadly Cleaning came to life in the winter of 2022, and I officially took the leap in May 2023.

Deadly Cleaning isn’t about perfection or hustle. It’s about flexibility, balance, and creating calm, for my clients and for myself. This business allows me to work independently, be present for my family, and do work that genuinely feels good.

I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way. Thank you for being here and for being part of this journey.
